Film Permit Process

We'll cut through the bureaucratic jungle, helping you identify and obtain the necessary permits for the City of Chico, City of Oroville, Town of Paradise, Butte County, the State of California, or Federal land located in Butte County.

City Permits

Each city in Butte County could require filming permits for your project if you choose to shoot within city limits. Our team can help you contact the right people to make the application process as smooth as possible.

County Permits

For any other location that is not city, state or federal land, permitting falls under Butte County. Our team will help you sort out which ones you will need.


State of CA Permits

Butte County has state land. These properties are permitted via the California Film Commission after discussing the project with local contacts listed.

Contact the local state park rangers to get initial approval for the film activity.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) plays a significant role in managing wildlife and natural resources in Butte County.


Federal Land

Butte County has Federal land. These properties are permitted via the California Film Commission after discussing the project with the local contacts listed.
